Persus mining Reshape Dunkwa-Ayanfuri Deplorable Roads

Persus Mining Ghana Limited has heed to the pleads of Upper Denkyira West District Assembly and the people of Ayanfuri in the Upper Denkyira West District of the central region by reshaping about 8 kilometers of road from Ayanfuri to Kwame-prakrom, to improve mobility in the area after several appeals to them to fix the deplorable state of the road.

The 8 kilometers Dunkwa-Ayanfuri road which links the entire Ashanti, Central, Western and Western North region has been a major challenge facing the people plying the route.

A lot of accident happens on the road almost everyday which compeled the youth in Ayanfuri to demonstrate against the government on the deplorable state of the road.

Speaking in an interview with Mohammed Radiu Dinn Rasko, Dunkwa tv.com, the District Chief Executive (D.C.E) for Upper Denkyira West Mr. Richmond Koduah said, Persus mining Ghana limited is currently undertaking the project by reshaping in order to make it easier for the drivers, passengers and residents to operate smoothly while they wait for the contractor to come back to site.

He also said the nature of the road undeplorable, especially during the rainy season hence the need for immediate reshaping to help the people.

The Assembly member for Ayanfuri electoral area, Mr. Kwabena Eninn Castro urged government not to turn their back to them after the reshaping.

“We are giving the government two months if we do not see asphalt, we will embark on more demonstration to compel the authorities to give us our share of the national cake,”he said.

“We need asphalt not reshaping, the people of Ayanfuri deserves better.”

Meanwhile, the Residents and the Drivers plying the route also expressed their gratitude to the mining company and urged government to let the contractor come back to site immediately.
