Violence at NDC congress: Police arrest 2 suspects in Tamale Date:

 Two suspects, said to be associated with last December's aggravations at the Public Popularity based Congress (NDC) youth and ladies' congress in Cape Coast in the Focal Locale have been captured by the police.




The police had put a sum of 16 suspects on the needed rundown.


In a proclamation Saturday, the police reported that two of the suspects are in their guardianship.


Their names as indicated by the polce are Abdul Halid Shaibu nom de plume Oluu and Ibrahim Razak.


They were captured in Tamale in the Northern District on Saturday, January 7, 2023.


The police announced 16 individuals needed for brutal aggravations at the Public Popularity based Congress Youth and Ladies' Congress held at Cape Coast on December 10, 2022.


"While procedures were progressing at the Congress two opponent gatherings fiercely conflicted tossing stones, blocks, sticks, clubs, seats among others, making injury three people and obliteration to property," the police said in an explanation.


"The intercession of the Police managed the circumstance for the cycles to proceed as far as possible with practically no further episode."


After an underlying audit of Police-explicit video recordings of the occasion, 16 suspects have so far been recognized as a portion of individuals engaged with the viciousness and have been pronounced needed.
