Police in Ofoase Ayirebi have arrested the mother of the 15-year-old girl flogged and molested by two young men on the orders of her stepfather.
The ‘boys’ stripped the girl half-naked and flogged her.The perpetrators including the stepfather are on the run.
But on Thursday, June9, the Ofoase Ayirebi Police Commander, Superintendent George Bawa, confirmed the arrest of the mother of the girl to aid investigations.
He indicated that the Oda DOVVSU has taken over the case.
He added that the girl’s mother is expected to assist with further investigations as the police continue to search for the perpetrators.
